Born in Łódź, Poland on 24.07.1972. One of the most talented and known Polish directors and cinematographers. Graduated from the renown Polish National Film School in Łódź. Received scholarship from Northern Film & TV School in Leeds.

Bartek worked as cinematographer with Andrzej Wajda, on his film “The Sentence for Franciszek Klos”, “Waiting for the Dawn” by Krzysztof Lang, and “Debt Collector” by Feliks Falk, for which he received main award for cinematography at National Film Festival in Gdynia in 2005, “Before Spring” by Filip Bajon, and “Debt” by Krzysztof Krauze - he received a nomination for Polish Eagles award in 2000 for the cinematography.

At some point of his professional career Prokopovitz found his true calling and passion in directing. 

For the last 15 years Prokopovitz has directed hundreds television commercials and music videos for best Polish and international brands. He is in top 5 best commercial directors in Poland excelling in showing true emotions on screen. Once on set Prokopovitz becomes a perfect conductor for his crew, always working close with actors, always sensitive to all around and the needs and wants of agency and client. He is known for being very disciplined when it comes to timing and his shooting days end on time.

As a director Bartek shot his first feature in 2015 “Chemo”. He was also a co-scriptwriter of “Chemo”.

His romantic comedy “Narzeczony na niby” from 2018 has become a great success in Poland and the biggest box office hit.
